Our Vision for Early Learning

Nurturing Curiosity, Inspiring Growth

At our Home School, we believe that young children learn best through active, meaningful, and play-based experiences. Our FS1 and FS2 programme provides a carefully balanced approach that combines teacher-guided learning with child-initiated exploration, enabling children to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.

We create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired. Through engaging indoor and outdoor experiences, children are encouraged to explore, investigate, create, and reflect while developing essential early learning skills.

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting every child’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development.

Philosophy

Our Vision for Early Learning

At our school, we believe play is the engine of early learning. We treat every child as a unique individual, providing a safe, “enabling” environment where they can explore with confidence. By blending purposeful play with high-quality adult interaction, we help children develop the positive habits, resilience, and curiosity they need for lifelong success.

Our days are brought to life through:

  • Hands-on Exploration: Inquiry-based activities that spark “why?” and “how?”

  • Creative Expression: Storytelling, role play, and expressive arts.

  • The Great Outdoors: Learning through nature and physical movement.

  • Positive Relationships: Building the emotional security children need to thrive.

Our curriculum covers the seven key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring a balanced start to their education:

  • Communication & Language: Developing the “gift of gab” through listening, storytelling, and new vocabulary.

  • Physical Development: Building everything from “big” movements like climbing to “small” skills like a secure pencil grip.

  • Personal, Social & Emotional Development: Learning to manage feelings, build friendships, and grow in independence.

  • Literacy & Numeracy: A head start in phonics, reading, counting, and subitising.

  • Understanding the World: Discovering different cultures, nature, and the passing of time.

  • Expressive Arts & Design: Exploring the world through music, dance, and messy (but wonderful) art.
